Monthly Archives: December 2014

O.K., I’ll admit my failure. I forgot/abandoned November. And, I had things to say, too. Chores, jobs, shopping, repairs, visits writing; everything gets put on hold during September and October due to the enormous amount of work my family does on the Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball. Work goes on all year, but it culminates in Halloween month. Then November is catch up month; put away props month, settle up with Hard Rock, blah, blah, blah. So there you have it. November and turkey and birthdays whished away!

When it is all over, where does everybody go? DJs go back to their homes across the country–and some to other countries. The Cirque performers go back to their regular jobs, which they kept doing anyway. Bartenders breathe a sigh of relief, party-goers sleep for 2 days (if they’re lucky) and the Hard Rock has people waiting to rehearse as we move our gear. It takes everybody and everything a while to wind down. Then planning starts for the next year. As someone once said, ideas are a dime a dozen. People who put them into action are priceless. That’s my boy! After that, as Oprah says, lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want are people who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas with friends and family. Just remember that millions who long for immortality do not know what to do with themselves on a beautiful Christmas Day.
