The Month of May

“Some Folks Say Nevadans Are Depraved Individuals Just Looking To Eat, Drink And Howl At The Moon.”  We don’t see a problem with that! (Stolen from an ad for the Cadillac Grille!)

May 24th is my birthday–year irrelevant. I’m just glad I’m still here to howl.

May is also National Burger month (says who?) But if you really like burgers, go to About.com for delicious recipes for all kinds.

And, if you like old showgirl pictures, check out www.earlcarrollgirls.com. The site is a labor of love with a collection of pictures by one of the former showgirls. Some wonderful pictures of the Earl Carroll Theater include underground machinery for the first revolving type stages. Not only was Earl Carroll a songwriter, but he was an inventor, a master with lighting and a fabulous showman. See if you can find my pictures in there somewhere under my maiden name of Barbara  Riiff — a natural bleached blonde.

I recently discovered on our Showgirl Publishing Home page and other pages that the Contact link for SP had some old, erroneous addresses. I apologize profusely for anybody who tried to contact us using one of those addresses and hope by the time this is published, the address will be corrected. In the meantime, contact me at retshowgirl@yahoo.com or showgirlpublishing@cox.net and let me know who you are, what you think of the site, and suggestions or questions you may have.
